We had a great first week of school!

Math: Both grades have started a unit on patterns with materials, pictures, numbers and the grade 4s will also be learning about simple equations.

Science: We are learning about light and will be doing some experiments this week.

Social Studies: Students wrote riddles last week about the location of provinces in Canada (they are up on the bulletin board in the hall). This week we will start some research on the provinces.


Reminders and Important Dates:
- Book orders are due Wednesday, September 12.
- Picture day is on Friday, September 14.
- Students took home registration forms. Please send them back asap.
- We are asking students to have their parents sign their agenda when their homework is completed.

- Although we will not write it daily in the agenda, students are expected to read for 15 minutes every evening.  For now students may choose their own books, and once Mrs. Schnarr has assessed their reading level she will give more guidance as to appropriate books for students to read.  Students will receive a reading log later this week to track their reading at home.
