Welcome back to school!

We had a wonderful first day and are excited for a new year.  This week we are doing various activities to build our classroom community, reviewing concepts from last year through games, and learning about how we are all 'smart' in different ways.

Attached you will find an outline of curriculum topics for this year.

We strongly encourage you to take advantage of a typing tutor program to help your child improve their typing skills - it is a skill they will benefit from greatly in years to come!  Students will be expected to type out some of their projects this year, and we cannot afford to offer much class time for typing.  Students are bringing home several ideas for typing programs online, and there are a few links to such programs on our blog.

We will be sending Scholastic orders home monthly again this year.  Please remember there is NO obligation to buy materials. We are given credits to buy items for our classroom through the purchases made. The first order form will be coming home on Thursday and is due on Tuesday Sept. 10th.  Please DO NOT send CASH as we can only mail cheques.
