ELA: Students are working on Daily 5 activities. For those that were not able to see the Daily 5 board during student conferences, below are several pictures that describe some expectations and procedures for Daily 5 activities.
Math: Grade 5's are working on different mental math strategies to multiply 2-digit numbers, including doubling and halving, and breaking up a number. The grade 4's are continuing to work on multiplication and division word problems. Below are the steps we went through to make sure all the necessary information is included when writing a division word problem.

Science: Students are conducting experiments this week to learn about solubility, reversible and non-reversible changes made to substances and the different states of matter.
