This past week we had the privilege of hosting Mr. Frederick Carsted, who taught us about the soldiers that fought in the Seven Years' War.  Students were very engaged and had lots of questions!

Mr. Carsted is demonstrating how soldiers fought in rows and had to be in order for the safety of the soldiers in front!
How many items can you identify on Mr. Carsted's uniform?

Students are working on videos that describe life on a seigneury in Nouvelle France - they will be put up on the blog by the end of this next week.

This coming week is "I Love to Read" Week at school.  Here are some of the exciting events we have going on!

Monday:  Guest Reader: Sue Proctor (former Artist in the School Resident)

Tuesday:  Guest Reader: Ace Burpee

Wednesday: Guest Reader: Adrienne (from CHVN)

Thursday: Guest Reader: Aaron Burnett (from our concert in January)

Friday: Dress up as your favourite storybook character!  Assembly in the afternoon to showcase the 'traveling story'.
