Students have started a research project about a famous aboriginal person.  We are practicing computer skills including:  using key words on Google, reading and identifying important information, and keeping track of resources.  We also talked about strategies to find good information: only look at one paragraph at a time (don't get overwhelmed!), and in that paragraph, see if you can put that information in any of the sections (you don't have to do the sections in order!).  We wanted to avoid getting stuck on one section because that information wasn't readily available.

Finding information online is challenging, and the grade 5's have done a great job of helping their peers and the grade 4's.  They have a choice to display their project on a power point, a poster, or a booklet for next Wednesday.
