We learned a lot at Bird's Hill Park! We had an opportunity to feel a real beaver pelt.

The park interpreter dressed one of our classmates as a beaver to show all of a beaver's adaptations (which help it survive in its habitat).

We built model beaver Dana and ours worked very well! I've never seen an entire group build dams that all work like this!

Next, we learned about owl adaptations. Did you know if our eyes were as proportionately big as an owl's, they would be the size of tennis balls? That's crazy!
