We had a wonderful field trip today!  Students respectfully engaged the residents and it was wonderful to see both the seniors and the kids enjoying themselves!  The program coordinator at Vista Park Lodge commented on how well the students were engaging; our visit was much appreciated!

ELA: We will be completing our Literacy activities part way through the week and beginning a set of Christmas crafts.  Thank you for sending in some playdoh and a toilet paper roll with your child.  If you haven't, we would appreciate them soon. Thanks for your support.

Math: This week the grade 3's will be playing games and doing activities to improve their mental math with adding, subtracting and multiplying.  The grade 4's are working on different strategies to understand multiplication.  We will be looking at arrays to break up more difficult questions.  Please check out the math sites listed for extra multiplication practice at home!

Social Studies: This week we will be doing more activities to learn about citizenship and our responsibilities.  This Friday we are priviledged to have Ms. JoAnn McKerlie-Korol (Educational Programmer from the Legislature) come to our class to teach us about the levels of government, political parties and debating through games, activities and role playing.

*We have run into a few situations where students have misplaced important items (USBs, jeans, outdoor clothing, etc.).  If you have not already, please take some time to label your child's belongings so misplaced items can returned quickly.
