Transcona Historical Museum - "Digging History"

Here are a few pictures from our archaeological dig yesterday!  Using various tools, students  sifted through sand to find aboriginal artifacts.  Then they observed and measured the artifacts to predict what they were made of and what they were used for. 

The museum curator read us a Cree legend, and students were able to handle authentic artifacts from the Patterson Archaeology Collection.
