Girls' bowl: Crockadoodle bowl painting for Spring Supper Auction!

Boys' bowl: Crockadoodle bowl painting for Spring Supper Auction!

A student is sharing his a power point presentation he made to showcase his trip.

 MATH

Grade 5 students are trying to match up equivalent fractions and decimals.
Students made an easier fraction (denominator as 10 or 100) in order to convert a fraction to a decimal.
Example:  4/5 = 8/10 = 0.8

The grade 5's are also working on organizing decimals and fractions on number lines.
(and remembering that 0.7 is bigger than 0.35!)

Grade 4's reviewing fractions of a set using counters and a mental math strategy
(dividing by denominator and multiplying by the numerator).
Example:  2/3 of 15 = 10

Grade 4's each took a an important concept in our fractions/decimals unit and explained the main ideas on a poster.

Girls' 200 m. relay race.

 SCIENCE

Exploring forces on an inclined plane and measuring in newtons.
How does the slope (how slanted it is) affect the force needed to lift the bag?

Exploring screws:  is it easier to use a screw when the threads are close together or farther apart?

We had the privilege of hosting the "Machray Magic" jump rope team.
We were very impressed with their creative tricks!
