Here are a few highlights of our busy week!


Dr. Woo came for a visit on Tuesday to talk about his job as a surgeon.  We enjoyed playing with some tools and hearing about different operations!

We compared an equal sign to a balance scale to see that it's okay if the "answer" comes first (as in 12 = 8 + 4).

 Both grades have continued to work with equations this week.  The grade 5's have focused on writing equations to solve word problems and writing word problems that could be solved with a given equation.
