The kids completed their creative body projects this week!  Some are on our bulletin board in the hallway and others are in the classroom.  While reinforcing facts that we learn in class, projects like this help students develop scientific inquiry skills, such as researching, solving practical problems, collaborating, and making changes or corrections to improve their work.  Here are a few pictures of students working on their 3D body posters and presenting them.  

The students had a literacy party on Thursday to celebrate that the class had read 100 books already!  Some kids got to present their science projects while sporting their favourite PJ's.

The grade 4's created and played "Pattern Memory".  They made pattern and equation cards that 'matched' a problem and an answer.  For example: "56, 59, 62, 65" matched with "Start at 56.  Count by 3s".
