The presentations on a favourite book in ELA were well done.  The students worked hard and demonstrated lots of confidence in speaking in front of the class. We will have more opportunities to do this.

Our students have been enjoying using oil pastels to make night scenes. We have called them "Silhouettes of the Night Sky". As we turn our clocks back this weekend the sky may be darker sooner next week. They have created  beautiful scenes showing our big prairie sky.

Students are working hard on completing their fur trade game that is due next week.  Students were asked to complete the research by today at the latest, and most have begun drawing out their game boards or making trivia cards.  All students need to start putting their game together over the weekend and bring their materials on Monday. 



Students participated in a role play this week: some were Europeans bringing blankets, knifes, and other tools, and some were Aboriginal people offering to trade furs.  Students were not allowed to talk (as if they didn't speak the same language) and had to negotiate fair trades.
