The grade 4's are learning different mental math strategies for addition.

 The grade 5's are working on breaking down multiplication problems to understand better why we "carry" numbers in long multiplication.


This week we started our next science unit on Inventions and Discoveries.  We will be using the scientific method to learn about simple machines, light, and sound.  We started with a "Mike and Ike Lab" to become familiar with the steps of the scientific method.
