Good evening! We hope you all enjoyed the extra long weekend.
ELA: Students are beginning a unit in poetry. They have started with reading and presenting poems. There are no spelling words this week.
Math: The grade 4's are continuing with activities on time. There are several games available on the blog to help students tell time; some we will do during class and students are encouraged to try the others at home. The grade 3's are wrapping up their "math potato" studies this week with weighing, measuring, and graphing their potato information.
Social Studies: Students are working on posters to compare life in the Arctic in the past and in the present. Students are working in pairs to become an expert on one of the following topics: food, clothing, education, transportation, or shelter.
Christian Education: Students are continuing to memorize verses and will be doing some story studies, where they will discover important messages in the stories and reflect on how the stories may relate to their own lives.
