We have many exciting activities in place for this week as we learn about France!  This afternoon our class learned about the geography of France and worked on a jungle scene based on the French artist Henri Rousseau.

ELA: We have begun oral presentations on our biographical hero. They were very interesting this morning and well researched. Way to go!! The audience was very attentive as well. I am very proud of them. I'm glad the students felt they learned a lot from their biography!
Tomorrow our Gr. 4's will be away at a musical performance but we will continue and hear the Gr. 3's present.  Everyone will have a chance to present by the end of the week.
Also our spelling quiz will take place on Friday.  These are the words about biographies introduced last Monday.

Math:  The grade 4's are working on ordering fractions by comparing the denominators.  They will also be learning how to find the fraction of a set (ex: 1/3 of 15).  The grade 3's will be showing fractions in multiple ways and comparing fractions.  There are several new fraction activities up on the blog.  We will be looking at some of the activities in class but encourage your child to play them at home as well!

Have a wonderful and safe Spring break.  Looking outside today it's hard to picture spring coming soon....but the March sun is getting hotter!
