We hope you enjoyed the long weekend! We have a number of activities going on this week, in addition to preparing for the student-led conferences next week.
ELA: We are continuing studying the genre of Mystery. Students are writing a rough copy using the elements. Word work this week has involved using conjunctions such as "but" and "so" properly to make compound sentences.
Math: This week both grades are completing their unit on number sense, addition, and subtraction. We are reviewing some difficult concepts and reflecting on our goals from this term.
Science: Students are learning how rotation causes the cycle of day and night, and how revolution causes the change in seasons. We will also begin looking at the phases of the moon.
Christian Education: Students did a wonderful job of singing this morning at the chapel service! They performed "Hands and Feet" by Audio Adrenaline, and put up their poster with the theme, "Where can you find God in your hands?"
